  1. Jolynn Says:

I need to know about social network marketing, how to set it up, how to get visitors, how to find the right people to market to.

    Thanks for this opportunity!
    Jolynn

  2. janae henningsen Says:

find something i have to offer even when i’m asleep that’s a worthy investment to others. thank you.

  3. ngregg Says:

Thanks for the information on the product launch. I have been thinking about the idea of conducting workshops and seminars on YouTube and other sites. My #1 question is where and how do I begin? How do I attract customers and keep them engaged?

  4. Suzanne Says:

David, I tried sending you an email to let you know there is an extra “h” in the link making it invalid…. Thought you’d want to know.
I look forward to more videos!

  5. Corrie Ann Says:

Hi David – first off, love this video launch idea…a lot. Second, the question I would ask you right now is: When an entrepreneur is starting a new business, in a new niche, from scratch, with no list, how do they secure joint ventures with experts who can offer something to their (the entrepreneur’s) target audience – that is, once it starts growing?

  6. meg Says:

What I most need to know from you, David, is where to START with getting everything automated. I need to be laser focused on doing the right things to grow my business and stop wasting time on things that “spin my wheels”.
I know you can put me on the right path.
    Thanks,
    Meg

  7. David Wood Says:

love the questions – keep them coming….I’m listening :-)

  8. Marvin Says:

There’s a blank space on the area where the video is supposed to be; or is it just me?

  9. Judith Says:

David – I love how generously you share with people. Thank you. My number 1 question: I have ideas whirring away all the time. How to I work out which of these can be turned into something that will generate an income and make a difference to people who purchase them. I also would like to understand more about working globally using the web – I feel totally out of my depth with technology, and its difficult to get expert help as I don’t know how to brief them on what I need!!!!

  10. Anne Says:

What a creativity and always new ideas, that’s great.
My main concern today is developing networking. How to develop message that will have impact, that will attract the clients ?
    Thanks,

  11. Reid Says:

Great to see the machine that is David Wood working as you teach by example, buddy! I’d like to know the best and most up to date Web 2.0 solutions to internet marketing. It seems to me that much of the internet marketing world has the same “look and feel” and I’d love for things to look more savvy and less “template.”

  12. Kathryn Says:

Thanks for all the great ideas and support!! What kind of budget (monthly $$) do I need to get my message out to more audiences – auto-responder programs, newsletters, download programs, website, blogs, etc.? Do I need to have all my products finished before I start marketing them or do I just need some of them ready?

  13. Ericka Says:

    David,
Love the concept. I need to know how to create professional videos, how to add powerpoint presentations, and a step by step outline on how to develop the practice once the products are created.

  14. Reid Says:

  15. Joshua Aragon Says:

    Hey David,

Great video launch! I’m looking forward to the upcoming videos and ultimately the new product launch. What I most need to know is the best type of copy i.e. buzz words, etc… to place on my website or email grabber that will encourage people to sign up!

    Thats it buddy! Great Job!

    Joshua

  16. Barry Isaacson Says:

I’m so new at this: I don’t have a webiste up and running yet. I don’t know enough to know what I don’t know. I think my most burning question right now is how to do this correctly so that it works and is not a wast of time and money.
I got your email on gmail but I can’t get into http://tinhyurl.com/launchvid so I don’t know if I will be able to receive the other vids; I hope so.

  17. Barb Says:

First of all… thanks for providing these resources so generously.

By the way….. the link contains an extra ‘h’, which I think made it really funny… tinyHurl instead of just tinyurl…

My question is this. I have some material and contents I have developed as part of a seminar I developed a few years back. I wonder how important it is to have all in place at the same time = do I wait w publishing my products (newsletter, e-book, CDs/recordings etc) until the whole package is in place. Part of my concern is if someone ‘takes’ my material. For now I have the basic process/program structure in place, but not the complete workbook and program.

Since I live on 2 continents I am definitely also interested in learning more about how to rely on the internet to get clients. My ideal situation is to make most of my income from product sales and advertising via my website, and secondary from giving seminars and group coaching wherever I happen to be. But not sure how realistic that is since I will have to work and get know on at least 2 markets.

  18. David Mariant Says:

David – great video and question. I have seen every internet marketing program out their it seems. Guys making it big on selling “How to make it big on the internet.” I need to know how others are successfully doing my kind of business; helping others through my book, “Surviving Bipolar’s Fatal Grip,” website info, http://www.survivingbipolar.com, and http://www.thebipolarcoach.com services.

I want to get my message out to the masses and make money to pay for the effort and to allow me to do this and pay the bills. I would pay a lot if someone would guarantee some sort of result; a real result and not just hype.

    Thanks,
    David Mariant

  19. Amanda Says:

    AWESOME CONCEPT DAVID,

I have just recently…finally “jelled” with my niche, gone back and forth
with my who and what for the longest time. I think my niche is pretty unique
(I’ve never seen it out there but, I may not have come across it). I would want to ask how I could automate what I do… I like so many others have
TONS of WONDERFUL, MARKETABLE, ideas etc. but, I am completely stumped
on where and how to get to the next level for that SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS
LIFESYLE. By the way, hope you are enjoying your new home. I can see (from the video) that you’ve settled in a bit.

  20. Clay Thomas Says:

How do I automate something that I feel can’t automate? I can lead them to the well but I can’t make them drink. I think I need to have a compelling story that let’s them take a step in the right direction and build form there. Eventually leading to the well and by that time the relationship is strong enough that taking a drink is second nature.

I’m looking forward to seeing the launch.
    Clay Thomas

  21. Nikhil Says:

I have some brilliant ideas – the one thing I want to know is how do I find out if people want what I have to offer? What’s the quickest and easiest way to do that?

    ~Nikhil

  22. Doug Breitbart Says:

    David,

I have spent the last year developing a clear picture of what I want to promote/convey/offer the world. I am finally ready to develop: my website, content, mailing lists. Do you have a “recommended” bundle of applications/service providers for doing the above and a map or graphic or picture of how those pieces fit together in terms of functionality to deliver a great result. I have watched your sites and mailings and promotions develop over the years with tremendous appreciation for your own evolution and mastery of the medium and it would be invaluable to get a Reader’s Digest of the mechanics/technology choices involved.

Secondly, I have a clear idea of the content and video material I would like to feature. What is the profile or specs recommended in the creation of that content so that it is most efficiently translated to web site, blog, email lists, etc. so that the wheel does not have to be reinvented over and over from a file format or bandwidth standpoint?

I would like to thank you for all you have provided over the years, and for your generosity of spirit in being open, accessible and completely forthcoming with insight and expertise. It is no mystery that you are one of the giants of the Coaching community, and truly a master of the space . Best of luck with the launch and I look forward to the videos to come. If, in reciprocity, I can help you with your vision for the next steps in what you want to create for Out of the Box, please do not hesitate to ask.

    Cheers,

    Doug Breitbart

  23. Charles Oliver Says:

Excellent question. I need to know how to build a list and keep their interest. This needs to be done rather inexpensively as the budget shrinks each time I purchase another of these fantastic worthless ideas that come around.
(You know, The one you can’t do anything right without.)

    Keep up the good work.

  24. Adrianne Bilbro Says:

    David,
After you have gone over the ABC’s, I think the most important thing for me to know will be this: What questions should I ask myself when making future business decisions…or phrased differently, how should I be THINKING, when making future business decisions?

I’m so looking forward to your video!

    Best,
    Adrianne Bilbro

  25. Elisabeth Kuhn Says:

Like the video and look forward to the next ones.

My biggest question: How to get paying customers on my list. I’ve got plenty of takers for the freebies, but when I try to sell them something they unsubscribe (or, worse, complain.) Well, some of them anyway.

So yes, listbuilding would be a good one!

    Thanks.

    Elisabeth

  26. Nick Smith Says:

I suppose my biggest question is how do I get people to visit my website when my name isn’t known yet and my list is tiny?

    Thanks,

    Nick

  27. Laura Says:

    Nice work David.

I would love to know how to discern which training programs, ezines, guru’s system/method I should follow to make sales go through the roof.

    Thanks

  28. viki Says:

    Hi David
I know that what works most if when you get rid of the “looking Good” fear and start doing whatever it is that you plan to do. so in my opinion first and foremost it is a matter of attitude – once you have it i guess it just flows….. i haven’t it yet so i am here. thank you for your great work

  29. Gordon Says:

    Hi David,
Thanks for the offer, should be great.
My #1 question is how do I protect my intellectual property? With sending out digitally based material, it is all too easy to copy and repackage.

    Thanks.

  30. Elena Says:

David- great video…..can’t wait. In response to your video question, I would need to know, realize and understand as a new coach, what do I have to offer and will my audience be convienced by it. How do I do that. How do I let them know I really am concerned and I truly care? Thank you David for everything. You are in my prayers.

  31. Darren Chambers Says:

Hi David and thanks for this great info. I’m really looking forward to hearing the rest!

Ok, I’ve built my website, I’ve tuned it and optimised it, I’ve checked the copy so it’s motivating people to act. I have my database ready to populate. Now… how do I find out what my niche wants to hear (and subsequently buy). The problem I have is that I ask the questions (on social sites, etc) but all I get is apathy. Is there a system I can use to motivate people to tell me what they want.

Thanks again David for your invaluable help getting me this far!

    Darren

  32. Joan Vernikos Says:

I need to know how to use my website effectively to reach the broader world with my messages. I am not technically savy and I am tired of people telling me what I should do but not how I can do it in the simplest terms.

  33. Susan Says:

David, Interesting stuff to be sure! Thank you for all your energy into bringing a level of professionalism to the title. As always, my concern is the lack of face to face contact. My question in response to your questions is to you think the art of reading body language and respond will deter the effectiveness of the message? However, my interest in piqued and I look forward to learning all that I can from your videos.

  34. Tammy Thompson Says:

Thank you for this free information, getting started has been a huge stumbling block for me. I would like to know what points I should define to make myself more marketable. I don’t have a great deal of education and I’m working on that but, what else do clients find important.

Thanks again for the information and all of your help.

    Tammy

  35. Sondra Horner Says:

My question is: For every great idea there are always extensions and other supporting ideas. How do I best focus and support an idea without stretching the time and services needed so that the original idea stays profitable.

    Thank you for your support

    Sondra

  36. Michael B Says:

Thanks for your generous gift. I am interested in gong beyond developing an email list to doing what it takes to truly connect with potential clients so that they actively (not passively) want more of what I have to offer. I want more insight into how I can better convey the fact that I have information that truly would make their lives better, and that I can be trusted to deliver… because I can!

    Thanks again.

    Mike

  37. sonya Says:

hi, thx for your insights. I just started my own coaching practice, so lot’s to learn! I have a website but at the moment i’m using it more as a biz card than a sales vehicle. question: assuming I have a good idea to sell, how do I actually get people to find out about it (considering I do not have a mailing list)? it must be more than tags and ads? thanks, sonya

  38. Linda Ambrose Says:

    Hi David:

Loved this message. Thanks for your generosity and offering this opportunity. I look forward to watching all the videos. I think the information I most need is how to put my existing contacts into auto lists to receive messages that can inspire them to use my services or recommend me to others. I would actually like to set up something like you have created with this. I don’t know where to start to automate my messages and I would like to. I also need to develop a website. I have been busy completing my thesis in a Masters in Leadership and Organizational Change – so once the send button is sent next month I am ready to go.

  39. MaryEllen Miksa Says:

Hi David. Thanks for this wonderful opportunity. I most need to know how to set up my own web-site. To be my own webmaster.

  40. Hans Says:

My business is coaching energy conservation development programs.
The last 15 years I have coached 2 national programs in poor countries from start to success.
Tell me why I cannot get my feet on the ground in the most wasteful state in the USA?

  41. Elise Says:

I would like to start a non-profit around education/coaching children. I do not know how to begin. I have a friend that already has a non-profit and we have discussed getting a brick and mortar and bring her vision, while incorporating mine, to life.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!
    Elise

  42. Iván Says:

I need to make people paying costumers who take the coaching process as a priority. I’m actually focusing on coaching as a way to face the economic crisis (crisis are the best times to develop new skills).

  43. Cindy Says:

Wow! This is a great tool, thanks, David! I don’t have a #1 question. I don’t know anything about this, so how basic will you be? ;o)

  44. Art P. Says:

I have just launched my new website called http://www.freespiritualebooks.com . I have managed to already get on the first page google but the traffic is very low. I need help with creating a large e-mail base and driving traffic to the site. I am hoping that some of your videos will help with that. I have been following you for 2 years now and you always have something useful to say or sell.

    Thanks

    Art P.

  45. Kay Says:

I’m just starting my coaching/workshop business–no clients yet. What should I focus on first–website? blogs? getting first few clients through personal contacts? Help! So many possibilities, so much info out there and not a clear idea of where to focus my efforts.

    Looking forward to your videos…

  46. Ray Says:

Thanks for this, David. I’ve been thinking about starting up for a while now, and failed to get out of my own way. There’s so much to think about, and it seems very daunting at times. I could ask so many questions, but I guess the first one is: Where the heck DO I start?

  47. Amy Says:

I am veyr new at this. I have general ideas but I need to know how to create something people will want to purchase. Also the best ways to market to the niche market you want to attract.

  48. Kristine Conybeare Says:

Need to find what I am best at. How do I find what I really should be doing?

  49. Christine Breberina Says:

    Marckh 17, 09
Thank you for the message. I would like to know how to make money on the internet. I purchased a web site that is doing nothing because I do not have any internet knowledge. Making money, while I sleep, would be great.
    Thank you

  50. DrDeah Says:

I’m always interested in do it myself tools that I don’t need PhD in computer science to actually use. Would love to start with learn how to do these video’s like you’re doing.

  51. cynthia Says:

I found your information very interesting. How do you build the email list and then engage people/market people to utilize your coaching service? When approached some people thik it is a great idea but do not follow through or drop from a program without completion. Thank you again for the information and will be looking forward to the videos

  52. Pat Benage Says:

I really appreciate your generosity and willingness to be of help to others. I especially appreciate your genuineness. There are way too many hype it up sales people out here. Which brings me to my question. How do I get people to take a look at my products without becoming a phony, hype it up type? My style is pretty laid back and I want to be able to fit my marketing program with who I am. I am simply not willing to compromise that to make a buck.

  53. Stanlee Panelle Cox, M.A. Says:

Yes! Total agreement here, David. You are absolutely the best! I”ve had negative interactions with other online coaches that are simply out to fleece people, and I am just constantly impressed with your sincerity. My questions echo the ones about choosing “the right message that people want and will respond to” out of many ideas without being “cliche” and how to develop that mail list from scratch without unethical tactics and then also how to set up a management system that minimizes the time put into developing newsletters, emails, etc. My niche is Crone Aged Women (aka: Post menopausal and personal/life change phase). A big and unaddressed population that is challenging to reach.

  54. Maria Gu Says:

    Hi David,

I learned the most from you is how your creative ideas had catched my attention to continue read your messages, consider how many gurus out there to promote their products. You always have very uniqe way to attract us and I am glade to be attracted.
My 1# question is: what shall we do after 11days then?

  55. Paul Says:

    Hello David,

I admire your stuff> Auto-responder, type of content – tie in of articles, personal emails, product and service offers. Scheduling and balance.

    Auto-responder management tips, tricks (iContact).

Thanks for asking, means a lot!!

  56. Stacy Goldring Says:

This is awesome. Have a domain name, but am stumbling around trying to set up a website. A step by step instruction for how to achieve the 7 steps you set out and why is what I need, asap. Thanks for the hope- Stacy

  57. Kerry Says:

I an in the right place! I like the blueprint. I don’t often like to get bombarded with information but prefer to see the whole picture and then go more into depth. Step 2 & 3 are what was missing for me. So watch this space for my website..
    Kerry

  58. Kat Says:

I think picking a niche is most challenging for me…narrowing it down. The most exciting step would be setting up the newsletter. I have a lot to say.

  59. Susan Says:

My business is a non-profit organization. I have a website, and we are 501 (3) (c), but I need to build an email list that is directed toward potential donors, and one also for those who would use and benefit from our services. Got any ideas or suggestions? I think if we could get the message out there, support would not be a problem. It’s just getting the message into the right hands.

I’ll be watching for the March 24th Launch!

  60. puela Says:

what I need the most is a good Content management system, to create a clear structure where to land my content.

Then develop my newsletter and communication with my users.

Then time management skill to become more productive and be able to develop all the free resources I want to give away.

  61. Doug Breitbart Says:

    Well done and well framed.

Clearly the most exciting step for me is finally putting fingers to keyboard and articulating my unique talent, vision and focus. Translating how my passion and commitment and process can translate and be of value to my clients. It has been years in germination, but I only recently arrived at a level of focus and clarity to actually make Step 1 happen.

I think the most challenging step is actually identifying someone else’s product and being in a position to close the commission deal, without knowing how and what I have to leverage in terms of traffic or actual potential referrals (Step 6). But I also have no sense of the receptivity of other providers to my offering their cotent or products, so I remain open to the possibilities/opportunities.

I get the simplicity and scaling of your approach to how I engage with this process; and, I also appreciate the achieveability based on a newsletter’s definition not requiring mass and length, or a web site not needed more than 4 pages to get started and engaged.

I recently visited an accupunturist and good friend of mine who had just put up her first site which she had done herself with a little help from a young web master sourced from Craigs List. This after going through some real hell with web development firms, hustlers and false starts; and lo and behold, it was elegant, clean, simple, compelling, and also, only 4 pages. I was very impressed, but now I understand why.

I look forward to the next installment and thank you for what for me is extremely timely and valuable information and insight. Thank you.

    Cheers,

    Doug Breitbart

  62. Shannon Says:

THANK YOU! You are generous and brilliant; I’m all ears…

  63. Mags (Margaret) Meechang Says:

I’ve been getting your emails for years now, and regularly find several little gems within your written and spoken word. Many thanks.
There are a few challenges I have with setting up on the web: Firstly programme layouts and links within a site. If I am struggling here, I am sure many others are.
Do you have advise on website programmes one can pick up and use. I (we) need something quick and easy to use that will have a format in place, into which we can fill in our specialist components, and know that everything is linked together and we can refer to without trying to “find” things and have the need to duplicate entries of details etc. We would like to be able to offer free segments of information (as you do!!!) which will build a contact/user base as well as encourage people to buy tutoring and coaching information specific to their needs as well as receiving inspiration. As well, we would like to present and sell my artwork .
On our established website, we do not have a purchasing opportunity. I need advice on this to ensure we get a safe and efficient process which is interfaced with our site information. I have no desire to spend more than necessary time at the computer….preferring more time doing the art, tutoring and preparing programmes to put on the computer.
We (my sister and I who have the joint website) both have limited finances now we are “retired” so try to do everything as economically as possible.
I believe we need more links and opportunities to reach a bigger market.
Looking forward to more “gems” from you and motivation to revisit what we already have in place to make it more effective, productive and beneficial to all.
    Cheers,
    Mags

  64. sam Says:

    Many thanks David.

i am an newbie. my most important question right now, is how to find a niche which is `in demand’

    - google.trend, yahoo, gives overwhelming info which i dont seem to be able to use

    thanks again
    n cheers

    sam 18march, malaysia

  65. mila ridout Says:

    Hi david,

    the defficult:
it would be helpfull to talk where and how to borrow somebody else product?!

the excitement: to create your own product in 2 weeks?!

    thsnk you,
    Mila

  66. Ron Passfield Says:

I have completed 6 of the 7 steps. The one that is left – adding a coaching stream to my online business – is both the most exciting and the most challenging. I do full-time consulting/coaching offline but have not transferred these skills to online yet.

  67. garyb Says:

    #1 question

how to monetise the web…how to get people to pay for things they can usually do for themselves for free…eg..make web movies?..get a mac!

the knowledge is ‘out there’ but getting paid for the service becomes the tricky bit
free on the web is one thing…getting the commit is the other

  68. Karren Says:

Thankyou David, for sharing your knowledge and experience, and for your passion and enthusiasm in helping others through this offering.

I am most excited about increasing my revenue through what I am passionate about. I understand a bit about web development, however attracting traffic and retaining attention and gaining revenuet from visitors is a challenge for me. Most of our clients come from client referrals (word of mouth) rather than the internet.

  69. Alan Wayne Says:

Thgank you for the great information. For me the passion is in number on1. Its all about the nitch. Having done public speaking for and business training for many years, I realize the importance of being relivent and and having clients know that I know exactly (1st hand knowledge) and what they mean when they ask “do you know what I mean”

  70. Alan Wayne Says:

    David,
Thanks for the great insight and wonderful information. Need to know What should be on the four pages of the website – specifically?thanks can’t wait for the next enstallment and the 24th!!

  71. Brushane Says:

I love the fact that you mention about borrowing someone elses product while you still setting yourself up. It really make sense to get off the ground just a little quicker.
The greatest challenge for me however is that I’ve never set up a website before and thats a bit intimidating for me.

  72. Doug Breitbart Says:

My target date for my own site is April 3. However, I do have a client with a very developed website that recently experienced lack of conversion, and this is clearly why.

There was a press leak of their beta content launch in conjunction with a major search engine site. We saw a spike in traffic from visitors in the tens per day, to visitors in the millions, literally overnight. We did not see the conversion and we did not have this feature page on arrival.

I do intend to call their webmasters and correct the omission. Thanks!

    DB

  73. Perry Says:

    Hi Dave:

I am most excited when you spoke about creating a short, concise “blueprint” that can show me the route best taken.

The greater challenge is to decide on a niche that is in demand!

    Perry

  74. Tim Says:

I am excited about your future product launch. I have been very impressed with your generosity and the practical application steps you provide. I am looking forward to learning more about starting from scratch because that is where I am at.

What I would like to know? – I love the fact that you asked us that question, what good does it do for me to develop a product if no one wants it? I want to coach men on the idea of one fundamental question – Are you living a life worth remembering? The guys I talk to find the question thought provoking and challenging, but I am not sure they would be willing to be coached on that topic – What are some ways that I can get input like you are doing with your upcoming launch without a large database to work from? – like you must have.

Look forward to your future productions.
    Tim

  75. alice anderson Says:

I am really excited about this, David! I’ve been working on my coaching website all afternoon, and this was the shot in the arm I needed. Thank you for anticipating the needs of those of us who are new to coaching.

My number one question is regarding the internet marketing aspect of growing my practice. It seems daunting. (But it’s the ONLY thing that seems daunting to me!)

    Thanks again,
    Alice

  76. Ken L. Says:

Hi Dave and Everyone at Solution Box,

Thank you for all the coaching and info resources you make available.
I’ve just started watching the 1st vid and soon as I am done, I’m moving to the next one. I hope you will leave them longer than 11 days? ..

My answer to your question, is really my question? What can I do to draw (on a very slim budget.. very slim.. ) people to my business, through the internet and otherwise, without promotional expenses?? My ideas are focused on counseling (experienced) and coaching since my passion is to want to improvve the quality of peoples lives. Thanks for all you do and those at Solutiion Box.

Thanks David. I still don’t have a niche. I do such a variety of coaching. Health, EFT, Spirituality. I haven’t created a website. I just can’t seem to get lined out with a niche. I am the ever dynamic guy that resists boxing into a niche. What now??

Thanks David for all of your help over the last month. My biggest concern is developing a strategy and outlining it step by step cohesively to be all encompassing.

    Thanks David.

I need to know how to make the leap from all the ideas that are buzzing around in my head to having a viable product that I can bring to the attention of potential customers via the web.
