Actually i was just looking for a way to get a short message through to David Wood.
I met you David at the Sydney ‘ultimate Business seminar’ in November….I was a bit speechless and just asked to shake your hand, you gave me a hug instead. I think i am still a bit speechless…..but I have thought of you and the compassion you emanate many many times. I just wanted to tell you that it had a marked effect on me and on others, I am sure. If you are in New Zealand sometime, I hope I will know. I would like to meet you again (and hopefully I might have more to say!).

Loved your article about combining work and vacation. My husband and I are doing so in August – he has to travel to southern California for a meeting which happens to be only 30 miles from Disneyland, so I’m going with him and we’re adding a few days of play. We can’t wait!

I started doing this on a small scale whilst still employed and found the freedom to integrate ‘wor’ and pleasure was very freeing and productive e.g. I took in a Rennie Mackintosh Exhibition while at a conference in Scotland.
Now that I am self employed I have even more scope. On a recent trip to Dublin (for a Design Your Destiny workshop)I built in an extra day, did some relationship building over lunch, took in a film (Genoa) and visited the local bookshop where I headed straight for the Mind, Body & Spirit section where I picked up a couple of second hand books recommended on the workshop.(I always keep a book list with me) I caught up with my emails and touched base via Facebook at the airport and read one of the books on the flight home.

I have done this and it was great! When away from the office I’m always more creative…I have the space and time to tap into that part of my spirit…I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to do better, be better, and have fun while doing it!
