Need book keeping salvation
Do you know of a really good book keeper based in Australia?
By good, I mean one who is friendly, conscientious, detail oriented, and deadline-oriented?
Could you please post any recommendations you have, and WHY, in the comments below.

apparently these guys are really good.
they are local to the north coast nsw, friendly personal service.
to work for them their staff have to have at least 5 years experience with extensive workloads.
I recommend them because they are local to me, and the north coast nsw is a great place to live and visit.

My accountant delivers a fantastic book keeping service.
Meets the criteria I have and the do a consistently great job, in a timely manner and have a team of wonderfully professional and polite staff.
The best part is I rarely ever have the need to go in and see them, it’s all done via email and over the phone.

Hi David…re your bookkeeping request…I am actually a very good bookkeeper depending on what system you use and what you are willing to pay and hours required…I have run my own books and bussiness for the past 20 years and have a dip in financial planning and finance …neither of which I chose to utilise right now as I am enjoying my coaching health and beauty carreer…but having the qualifications has allowed me to be able to minimise tax implications…let me know more Mieke Boer

Hi David
I would be really happy to recommend Janine Fraser as a great book keeper. I am the President of the the ASCH (Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapy.) of which she is the administrator one day per week.
I believe any body else would take at least two days to do what she does. She is also the secretary to the Australian College of Counselling Hypnotherapist on a volunteer basis.
She has been a book keeper for a private company two days a week, doing in house accounts to trial balance level. This position is being made redundant in the very near future.
Janine is also a very skilled therapist and runs her own clinic the rest of the time.

There are two women I can’t recommend high enough.
One is Jaime McLachlan (you can get here on 0438 158 641).

She has owned her own book keeping business and sold it last year, but is still working as a book keeper for special clients, who appreciate her service so much, that they don’t want to let her go
Jaime is still offering training for tradespeople through HIA and just recently got her degree in Business and Commerce. She would not be available for long term, but happy to do a “quick fix”.
The other lady is Amee Porter. She is not only a great book keeper, but also a very dedicated business person. She is offering much more than “just” book keeping, supporting business owners with (tax related and) qualified advice. She is proficient with Quickbooks and MYOB.
She is a single mum who never complains about the amount of work she has to do, is focused on getting the most return for her client, and she even has a great sense of humour while dealing with such dry stuff as accounts receivable.

Hi David, I’m drawn to recommend myself. For the last two years I have been running the finances and bookkeeping for an internet travel business, one of Australia’s largest. Naturally, the job has required attention to detail and a clear orientation to the regularly recuuring deadlines. The team I have been working with are young and dynamic and we have prided ourselves on excellent customer service which flows naturally from healthy working relationships within the business. Seems like you have some good recommendations here already.
I would like to add my very own bookkeeper Alan Bates to the list.
Alan is located in the Sydney Hills Area and he does my books for several companies and a trust. He is very reliable, extremely thorough and provides a great service. He always meets the relevant deadlines even though I am often slack in providing all info to him.
He is very patient with me someone who finds all admin stuff extremely boring and tedious. He also liaises with my accountant seemlessly. My accountant is pretty fussy when it comes to bookkeepers and he only works with Alan.
