Here is Phil’s (THEORETICAL) way to beat the lone h-pawn attack, which humiliated me the last time David and Michael used it against me:
1B.h4{180} 1b.e6{180} 1A.e4{180} 1a.e6{180} 2A.d4{180} 2a.Ng8f6{180} 3A.d5{180} 3a.Nf6xe4{180} 4A.dxe6{180} 2B.h5{180} 2b.P@g3{180} 4a.dxe6{180} 5A.Bf1d3{180} 5a.Ne4xf2{180} 6A.Ke1xf2{180} 3B.fxg3{180} 3b.N@g4{180} 6a.Qd8f6{180} 7A.Qd1f3{180} 4B.Rh1h4{180} 7a.Qf6xf3{180} 8A.Ng1xf3{180} 4b.Q@f2{180}

heh heh – unfortunately most don’t read chess notation (and even though I thought I could – I can’t follow the progression of moves (1A 1a etc).
Well, you’ll get to try it out tonight Phil!
I have a couple of defenses that have worked pretty well so far – but tonight let’s introduce people to the joys of the attack. Then there’ll be appetite for defense.

OK – I cracked the mad notation code (I just ignore the a’s – what are they for?)
so yes – you’ve spotted the hole in the attack. Although N@g4 is not right – you would P@f2 first to keep tempo. (and btw no idiot is going to Rh4
The trouble is you need two pawns and a Knight to do it, which you ain’t gonna get in time – unless maybe if you Nathan as a partner yo)
so nicely spotted – but I think it needs some refinement or you still goin down!
