Executive Coach
An executive coach is very different from that of a personal coach. They have a much different training program than other coach’s that allows him/her to perform. This training one goes through is filled with information on leadership, as that is one of the main things this individual does. There are atleast a dozen more to list, but here are a few:
- Helping an executive acquire skills for a new position due to a change in organizational structure.
- Working with an executive who is being groomed for promotion.
- Coaching high performance executives whose personality style impacts negatively on their relationship with peers, staff, and clients.

The process involves an organization, the executive, and the coach. All are key stakeholders in the process the coach must go through. This person is not a career counselor or a life coach.
While both life coaching and career counseling can lend concepts and practice techniques. They focus solely on the individual client and his needs and goals. An executive coach will draw on the dozen or so training programs that they went through. This coach will then use this now personal information to solve whatever problem may arise.
